The Beauty of Ice...

We had an awesome (photographically speaking, of course!) ice storm on Wednesday.

Everything was covered...

and dripping icicles...

including our clothes line, which was especially fascinating to me!

The tree branches hovered over the girl's club house. Scary since they are usually at least 15 feet above...

I was really praying that none would snap and crash through the "roof," which, by the way, was tied with the clothes line for first place fascination award. I loved all of the icicles coming through the lattice! Also sent out a huge "thanks" that icicles were the only things coming through, especially since quite a few of those huge branches broke off all and landed all around the clubhouse!

Also grateful that none landed on me as I snapped away!!!

So excited to use my new macro lens...

which also happens to work great as a portrait lens!

Loving it!

The Best Part: We may not have flowers yet, but I was gifted "Ice Branches" from My Babies...

This post is dedicated to my friend, Jen. One of my faithful readers who just happens to be far, far away on a (hopefully) warm, sunny island (with perfect winds for kiteboarding, of course!). Thought you might want to see what you're missing back here!!!

with lots of snow...

so much snow...

with more ice to come tonight...

wondering if my children will ever have a full week of school again...

"Our Attitude...

...towards what has happened to us in life is the important thing to recognize. Once hopeless, my life is now hope-full, but it did not happen overnight. The last of human freedoms, to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, is to choose one's own way.” Viktor Frankl
